A piece of heaven. Clodagh went out of her way to help us. She got up at 6,30 to give us a hot breakfast before golf and kindly dropped my elderly father up later to join us for lunch. We will definitely be back - outstanding.

Excellent location, amazing views from the property itself. A small beach that doesn't show up on Google only a ten minute walk away beside the golf course, very secluded and lovely. Hosts are unbelievably friendly and serve an excellent breakfast!

A little piece of heaven
The most stunning place with an even better view. This gorgeous lodge was so spacious, newly renovated, fab little touches and in the most beautifully scenic location. The host Chlodagh, her husband and their amazing dog are so lovely and genuine with great tips for the area. The breakfast was perfect and so fresh. We would highly recommend this place for a staycation!

Lovely location and a great place to stay with a great owner
The location of this property was the best we have ever stay in as it was just on the water's edge. The owner was very friendly and had lots of knowledge of the area. The beaches were lovely and plenty of room for long walks. The property was lovely too with the rooms very homely with a very nice choice of breakfast. I would highly recommend this place for a stay.

Fantastic location and super Friendly host.
Beautifully decorated and recently renovated 400 year old house located on a stunning waterfront property. Clodagh, the owner, is a super friendly person. We arrived early in the evening (5pm) in late September for one night mid week and were the only guests. She only has four rooms and is renovating two more. The room was spacious, with hard wood floors and an amazing view. The bathroom is large and newly refurbished with a great hot shower. Little touches like candies and fruit in the room, flowers in the bathroom made us feel at home. Breakfast was over the top (especially for just two guests) with a wide assortment of fruit and breads and fresh eggs from chickens she raises herself and bacon and sausage from a local butcher who renders is own animals. We had an excellent dinner at a local seafood restaurant (West End Restaurant in Fenit)

The hospitality of this guesthouse is just amazing. It is obvious that Clodagh the owner wants you to enjoy your stay. She really made sure we felt welcome instantly. After setting the level so high -every other good hotel on our ireland trip had a very hard time to compete to this. Location is as great as promised if you are looking for quiet and scenic.

This wonderful place is a little out of the way but so worth it! If you are a golfer, it is about a five minute drive to the very lovely Tralee course. The owner of this property takes your comfort and satisfaction very seriously. She is the most charming person I met in Ireland, which is saying alot! Breakfasts are delicious and we had our dinners at a really great seafood restaurant about ten minutes away. If you need some R&R during your holiday, this is a great choice. Thanks you so much Claudaugh (sp?). It was such a pleasure to meet you.

10/10- welcoming and beautiful views!
It was the view and location that had led to us booking, and the pictures hadn't done it justice! The sea literally met the edge of the property, and a 5 minute walk up the road, gave amazing views of sea, coast line and mountains through the mist.
The hosts were both brilliant- from the welcoming text message with precise directions, to the chat at breakfast and the recommendations of where to eat and visit.
The breakfast room had a lovely view of the sea, and had we spent more time in during the evening, we'd have definitely enjoyed a complimentary glass of wine in the comfy living room. The room was bright, clean and cozy, and the bed certainly aided a good night's sleep. It was nice to have a bath and shower; and there was plenty of space to sit and enjoy the amazing view from the window that went from ceiling to floor.
We thoroughly enjoyed our stay, and would certainly recommend both the B&B and the area to anyone!

This is the first review I have ever left for anything - but she was the kindest woman I have met in my life and deserves to be recognized. She made every effort to make our stay perfect: asked us when and what we wanted for breakfast, and served an amazing full meal for us, made us coffee to go the next morning, gave us tons of suggestions on where to visit and what to do, and was just generally wonderful to talk to. The bed was by far the largest bed I've ever seen, and the property was gorgeous. The windows opened up right onto the water, and at night it was so quiet and peaceful. It's right near a golf course and beach as well, which are lovely at sunset. We only stayed for one night but after being there for 10 minutes we already wished we had booked it for longer. Definitely definitely recommend!

The whole place was outstanding. It was a beautiful property, a beautifully appointed room, a beautiful location, a super-friendly, super-warm host, and the best breakfast of my whole holiday (actually crispy hash browns!). Also, the bathroom actually had room for a separate bath as well as the (spacious) shower cubicle.

A quintessential Irish B & B at its very, very best!
We had a wonderful time! Barrow Lodge is an amazing place! So many wonderful little touches. The rooms and the attached bathrooms are exceptional in size and in design. As we were a group of 8, we were in 5 rooms, and each one was beautifully appointed with lovely views. Everything was so well done! The beds and bed linen were so comfortable, we had our best night's sleep of our 2 weeks in Europe! There were extra touches everywhere, such as sweets and fresh flowers in our room, water and tissues by our bedside, and lovely amenities. Clodagh is amazing! We were greeted and treated like family. We got in a bit late and she even called and made dinner reservations for us at a lovely nearby restaurant. The breakfast was spectacular! A buffet of breads, pastries, fruit, yogurt, cereals and juices, coffee and tea, and then we received a cook to order breakfast as well! My son was even able to kayak in the morning before breakfast! It is a quiet and peaceful place, literally on the water's edge...we could not have asked for anything more perfect... we could have stayed a week! I miss it already!

Stunning!
We leave in Ireland and we've visited many B&Bs around the country in our weekends out. Barrow Lodge will exceed all your expectation. Place is absolutely stunning, rooms are the most beautiful rooms I've ever seen breakfast is delicious and Clodagh is the most amazing host I've ever met! In few minutes she we'll make you feel like home...Definitely a place to go back again and again. There's a kind of magic in this place.

Wonderful hospitality in a perfect location!
From the minute I booked I knew that our host and accommodation would be perfect. I received a wonderfully warm welcoming email and contact from Clodagh prior to arrival. On arrival at the most beautiful location we were greeted as old friends! Our room was tastefully furnished with a lovely view over the bay - the bathroom was huge and the bed so very comfortable. In fact we couldn't fault anything.... There were some lovely touches to make our stay even better - fresh flowers in the bathroom, sweets in a jar in the bedroom, and fresh fruit on the dresser; Clodagh had thought of everything. To cap it all we enjoyed a wonderful breakfast with everything that you could possibly imagine on offer - just fabulous! If you are looking for marvellous accommodation in this remote and away from it all location then look no further. You will not find better at such a wonderful price. The Host and owner Clodagh was the most warmest host I ever encountered. A breathtaking view. Beautiful lodges with such privacy and the decor amazing. Waterside wonder!
This was an amazing waterside setting and I'd recommend it wholeheartedly to anyone travelling in the area. The rooms are really spacious and reflect the owner's attention to detail and eye for design. We were utterly spoilt during our visit and enjoyed the conversation as much as the cooking. We can also highly recommend the local golf course clubhouse for an evening meal - wonderful service and superb food.

Don't get me wrong, the stay in all ways (comfort, cleanliness, decor, food, location) was sensational, but the true highlight of the stay was the innkeeper, Clodagh, who is warm, bubbly, welcoming and just makes you feel like your comfort and stay are the most important thing in the world. My sister and I stayed there one night and had we known in advance how close we would be the next night, we would have stayed another night there for sure. The house is situated down a quiet road, right on the beach, so the air is fresh and salty. The decor is whimsical and modern and bright, without sacrificing the cozy ambiance you would expect from an Irish B&B. This stay was truly the overnight highlight of our journey along the Wild Atlantic Way. We both fell in love with Clodagh and her marvelous hospitality. We will surely return someday!

A wonderful host and a beautiful place for a lovely time while exploring the west coast of Ireland.
Clodagh met us as we drove in and took really good care of us from that moment on until we hugged her good-bye 3 nights later! The lodge is well-maintained, clean, tastefully decorated and extremely comfortable. We had everything we needed including some extra touches like fresh flowers in our room, and chocolate biscuits. The view from the window is wonderful where you can watch the tides in the estuary. Breakfast was full of wonderful fruits and baked goods and hot fresh food prepared as you requested, and it was delicious! We recommend The Barrow Lodge with our highest approval. If you’re looking for a quiet beautiful place away from the tourists on Dingle peninsula and the Ring of Kerry, this is an excellent location to explore both locations while enjoying the beauty of the Irish countryside. Clodagh is a wonderful host and will make your stay a treasured memory.

The rooms are beautifully furnished, spotlessly clean, with every facility. Our rooms overlooked the sea. The breakfasts are a feast, would suit every taste, with a variety of cooked breakfasts, cereals, fresh fruits, gorgeous brown bread, toast, muffins, scones, too many things to mention.
There is ample parking and Wifi reception is excellent.
This is, without doubt, the best bed and breakfast we have ever visited. We would love to have Clodagh and her family as our neighbours.

Excellent views with excellent hospitality.
Clodagh was a great host. Breakfast was great at Barrow and local restaurants were close for good suppers. The pictures on the website don’t do the views justice (no offense to photographer!! :-)) as the views are absolutely stunning. We enjoyed sitting by the sea with a beverage watching the tide go out and the sun set. Oh yeah...bring ur swimsuit!

Marvellous place that is really worth visiting!
We had the most beautiful room on the groundfloor, facing the coast. It was huge, comfortable, well decorated and very calm. Breakfast was amazing. We only stayed for two nights, but you can spend your whole holiday here. The area is amazing and so are the people. We can definitely recommend Barrow Lodge.

Simply the best night stay on our Wild Atlantic Way trip…
Truely 5 Star… Barrow Lodge perfect estuary location so quiet with only the Sandpipers calling on the shore below. Lovely warm welcome from Clodagh with recommendation to eat at the Tralee Golf Club just a short walk away. All in all the most fantastic stay watching the sun go down on the beach below the golf course. Our room and bathroom were large, very clean and breakfast was wonderful.

I loved that I could open the window on to the water at night, I could sit in the sun and see the coastline at breakfast. I felt the warmth of the owner and her care and love for the property.
