Barrow Bay is a designated area of wildlife conservation providing a stunning visual display of birds in particular. A summer’s night is often filled with the calling sounds of the heron or the gentle hum of the egret or oystercatcher. We always have a pair of binoculars on standby!

For our guests who prefer to avail of all the benefits of this beautiful landscape, we of course recommend swimming in the crystal clear Atlantic waters of Barrow Bay or surfing Big Barrow, our beautiful sandy beach which stretches for miles and miles.

The calm summer months in Barrow Bay are simply ideal too for kayaking ....the views from a kayak are quite simply stunning.

Barrow Lodge is also on the doorstep of the world-famous Tralee Golf Course, especially ideal for golf enthusiasts with an early tee time!
